  • 2012

    FSU’s Great Give launches with a $161,000 goal to commemorate the university’s birthday and brought together donors from all over to raise funds to support FSU students and programs.

    $186,770 raised from 1,060 donors

  • 2013

    FSU’s Great Give returns with an Earth Day theme. “The Great Give Going Green” embraced the concept of a fully digital giving initiative. A number of projects concerned the health and wellbeing of student relationships and spaces around campus.

    $114,088 raised from 1,144 donors

  • 2014

    In 2014, social media began to play a big role in promoting FSU’s Great Give. Through digital engagement and marketing, the FSU community contributed to projects such as the Family Fund, the Library Development Fund and the Panama City Campus Enrichment Fund in truly impactful ways. This resulted in raising over $100,000 for the third consecutive year.

  • 2015

    FSU’s Great Give continued to grow, reaching more community members than ever. Projects like the Division of Student Affairs’ Families Supporting Students received over 280 gifts! In total, seven projects raise more than 100% of their fundraising goals.

    $163,320 raised from 1,234 donors

  • 2016

    Participating in FSU’s Great Give becomes easier with the creation of SPARKFSU, Florida State’s crowdfunding platform. Projects focused on student engagement activities, like the School of Communication’s Arrowhead Advertising fund, which nearly doubled their goal to support their student activities.

    $208,549 raised from 1,729 donors

  • 2017

    FSU’s Great Give sees its largest improvement from the prior year, raising over $100,000 more than 2016. One example of the many successful projects: donors helped International Programs surpass their $4,000 goal to provide Study Abroad Scholarships to assist with expenses related to experiential education.

    $337,814 raised from 2,250 donors

  • 2018

    Incentive awards become bigger than ever, with $23,000 up for grabs. Another project success was Campus Sustainability, who surpassed their fundraising goal for supporting student ideas that promote efficiency, conservation and sustainability efforts across campus.

    $404,548 raised from 3,378 donors

  • 2019

    FSU’s Great Give sets its highest fundraising goal to date $500,000—and surpasses it! Additionally, thanks to the generosity of the FSU community, the Marching Chiefs sent students to France for the 75th anniversary of the Normandy D-Day invasion parade.

    $774,979 raised from 3,835 donors

  • 2020

    FSU’s Great Give becomes FSU’s Great Give: SOS, a 24-hour fundraising blitz to help support students affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

    $438,544 raised from 2,500 donors

  • 2021

    FSU’s Great Give celebrated its 10th anniversary March 10, 2021
